I’m happy to share that I’ll be attending the Data Innovation Summit 2025 with my colleagues on May 7–8 at Kistamässan in Stockholm. We’ll be there to talk about how data, AI, and IoT can solve real problems and create competitive advantage across industries.
You can find us at our expo booth A2, where we’re open to a conversation whether it’s about building enterprise-grade data platforms, rethinking business processes through AI, or exploring how to get started with connected devices.
This year, we’re also joining Helen on stage to share a very interesting case: a flexible demand solution for district heating that represents more efficient, environmentally responsible energy usage.
Reflecting on last year
At last year’s summit, we gave a joint presentation with OP Financial Group about scaling data and analytics capabilities inside a large, highly regulated organization. It was a solid example of how collaboration and the right long-term investments can turn data into a real asset for both business and tech teams.
If you’re curious about that talk, you can read the article here: Scaling Up Data and Analytics – Case OP Financial Group
This year’s talk with Helen shows how data can help us design systems that are smarter and more sustainable from the ground up.
This year’s presentation: flexible demand in district heating with Helen
In our joint session with Helen, we’ll dive into how a modern, cloud-native data platform can enable smarter, more sustainable energy systems.
Together, we’ve built a foundation for real-time, data-driven decision-making in district heating. The platform ingests and processes near real-time data from multiple sources—weather forecasts, building-level consumption patterns, and production system metrics—to support more responsive and efficient operations.
This isn’t just a backend system. It’s a critical part of how Helen is moving toward more flexible energy production and consumption reducing emissions while maintaining a reliable heating service across the city.
Jesse Mikkola from Helen will be on stage with Brightly’s experts to share what it takes to build a system like this in a live operational environment. They’ll talk about the architectural choices, data flows, and what they’ve learned so far about making real-time intelligence work in critical infrastructure.
What we do at Brightly
At Brightly, we help companies make meaningful progress through technology. We work as strategic partners to enterprises that are serious about using data, AI, and connected systems to move their business forward.
We’ve been lucky to work with clients who are ready to rethink how they operate, and we’re at our best when we’re involved early; helping define data and digital strategy, build roadmaps, and make sure that the technology delivers value that lasts.
When it comes to our company culture; people at Brightly get real responsibility, space to explore, and permission to challenge how things have “always been done.” We believe learning and sharing knowledge is part of doing good work. We value ownership, asking for help when needed, and doing things together, not just handing tasks off. If that sounds like your kind of culture, we’re always open to meeting smart, curious people. Come talk to us at booth A2 or check out our open roles at [careers page link].
Come say hello
If you’re attending the Data Innovation Summit this year, I’d love to see you there. Whether you’re exploring your next move in data and AI or just want to trade ideas, please come by and say hi.
You can:
- Meet our team at booth A2
- Join our session with Helen on district heating
- Book a 1:1 meeting to talk more in-depth about your goals
Looking forward to meeting old friends and new faces in Stockholm. Let’s build something that lasts.
